Boston has confirmed that MLB commissioner Rob Manfred will sign off on the terms of the deal signed between Justin Herman and the New York Yankees.
It’s not yet clear how much the deal will be worth to the club, though, because the terms haven’t yet been disclosed.
The Yankees are expected to announce the contract at a news conference tomorrow.
It is the second major deal announced by the Yankees this week.
The club announced last week that it would sign veteran pitcher Justin Masterson to a four-year contract worth $11 million per season.
It was announced that it had also signed free-agent outfielder Michael Cuddyer to a two-year deal worth $6 million per year.
