New Jersey Nets guard Shabazz Napier, who was signed by the team in July, is the latest player to be honored with a new jersey this season.
According to the New York Daily News, Napier will wear the new jersey for the first time during the team’s first home game, Saturday’s win over the Atlanta Hawks at Barclays Center.
Napier’s jersey, which will be auctioned off during a Nets-themed charity auction, will be worn during the game.
According a press release from the team, the proceeds from the auction will go toward the foundation’s Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Fund.
The team also announced that its NBA Championship Celebration will be held at Barclays on Feb. 20.
The Nets are scheduled to host the Cavaliers in Brooklyn on Feb 6.
The Hornets’ season is over after their Game 7 loss to the Golden State Warriors.
