Josh Allen has become the fastest receiver to reach 1,0000 yards.

Allen, a seventh-round pick in 2016, posted a season-high 1,029 yards last week in a 49ers win over the Vikings.

“He’s really, really, that type of player,” 49ers coach Chip Kelly said.

His 6.26 yards per route run was the fifth-best mark in NFL history.

The No. 3 pick in the draft, Allen was a second-round selection out of Alabama in 2019.

In 2016, Allen had 1,859 yards and 12 touchdowns.

He has 1,908 yards and 13 touchdowns this season.

Allen had 1-9 record and a 3-11 mark last season, but has had a good rookie season with a 5-2 mark.

Allen was the team’s leading receiver last year, catching 49 passes for 1,036 yards.

Allen caught just 14 passes for 78 yards last season.

Kelly said that while he will be a better player going forward, Allen will be more comfortable and less reliant on his speed.

Allen’s best route in 2016 was a quick fade over the middle.

It was a big step forward in his career from his rookie season in 2014.

Allen said he has been working on being more consistent.

We’ll just have to see how it all plays out,” Allen said.

Allen is coming off a breakout year.

He caught 67 passes for 939 yards and five touchdowns, but also had seven interceptions.

A sixth-round draft pick out of Clemson in 2018, Allen caught 64 passes for 849 yards and four touchdowns in his first season with the 49ers.

After playing the majority of the year with a broken collarbone, Allen came back for a second season.

He has had the best year of his career.

Allen made the Pro Bowl in each of his first three seasons with the Eagles.

During his rookie year in 2016 and his second year with the Rams, Allen posted career highs in catches (108), yards (1,096) and touchdowns (four).

Allen also had an outstanding 2016 season, catching 82 passes for 1034 yards and seven touchdowns.

Allen has a lot of catching ability in the slot, which he excels at.

As a rookie, Allen struggled with a lack of ball skills and missed some games because of injury.

While he has a high ceiling, Allen’s best attribute is his speed and agility.

This year, Allen has been more consistent, catching just 12 passes for 79 yards and one touchdown.

Allen will have a chance to catch some passes down the field, too.
